These are lightweight performance ice axes for glacier travel. With a straight shaft and at 68cm these are ideal walking axes for glacier travel and where more technical ice axes aren’t necessary.
PETZL SNOWALKER
The lightweight Petzl Snowalker stainless steel pick is designed for solid placements even in hard snow and ice. The wide adze chops steps efficiently and provides a comfortable weight-bearing surface. The anodized shaft is made of high quality, durable 7075 aluminum. A Rando leash is included with the ice axe.
PETZL GLACIER
The Petzl Glacier lightweight performance ice axe for glacier travel, with a meticulous design and finish. The Glacier ice axe offers very good anchoring qualities in hard snow and ice, thanks to its very high quality steel pick, guaranteeing both solid bite and durability. It also has an anodized aluminum shaft with a machined handle for excellent grip.
The hire package consists of one 68 cm Petzl Walking (Snowalker or Glacier) Ice Axe.
