This is a great two man tent for back-packing, camping off the beaten rack and festivals where there's a long hike to your pitch.
The Quechua T2 is designed for 2 people looking for a lightweight hiking tent that doesn't compromise on space. At 2.9kg and packing down to less than 40cm long the Quechua T2 can be carried comfortably on or under a backpack and can easily be split between two carriers. Unless you choose a 3-person tent for 2, it's harder to find a roomier 2-person tent. The sleeping area is 220cm long and 80cm wide per person at head, 65cm at the feet and the 90cm porch is very useful for storing kit. The wide and high front entrance, which opens in a single movement, makes access easy and pitching is intuitive and traditional - bedroom first then flysheet. The bedroom can be used alone (fully free-standing) in warm weather.
Like all Quechua tents, the waterproofing has been particularly well-developed, approved in lab tests (whole tent in a shower of 200 litres/h/m²) and on field tests. The flysheet is polyurethane-coated polyester, all seams are taped and thermo-bonded and the groundsheet is durable PU-coated polyamide. The Quechua T2 comes with lightweight aluminium poles (8.5mm 7001 aluminium) for maximum light weight and break and freeze resistance. The tent pegs are lightweight and twist-resistant 6mm hex aluminium werighing only 18g each.
